Over the past three years, they've added seven new exhibits and renovated eleven others. The zoo's director, Jim Fleshman, explains that the changes aim to improve both visitor experience and the habitats of their animal residents. Ever wondered what it's like to travel the globe? The zoo now takes you on a journey across continents. From the lush African savannah to the dense forests of Asia, each exhibit brings a different region to life. One of the highlights is their new pygmy hippo exhibit, where you can watch these cute, semi-aquatic mammals in action.If Halloween is your thing, don't miss their annual Boo at the Zoo event. Happening this weekend, October 26 and 27, it's expected to draw around 13, 000 kids in their best costumes. After the Halloween fun, the zoo transforms into a magical wonderland for their Zoo Lights event, raising funds for a good cause.
