Exploring Mixbook's AI: A New Way to Make Memories
Sun Dec 29 2024
Ever wished you could turn your phone photos into a real album? I tried Mixbook's new AI tool to see if it could help. Mixbook, started by two friends from UC Berkeley, is an online platform for creating photo books. They've added AI features, like an AI caption generator and AI-made videos, to make the process easier. I was curious if AI could really understand my photos and help tell my story.
As I looked through my photos from Toronto, New York, Copenhagen, Portland, and Puerto Rico, I wasn't sure which ones to pick. Would AI get it right? I was surprised when it knew my Brooklyn photo was taken at the museum. The AI suggested captions and designs, letting me edit them. It even regenerated ideas when I wasn't happy. The whole process took less than 2 hours.
The final book cost around $100, but it was worth it. The AI helped me tell my story in a fun and creative way. Mixbook also offers discounts to keep prices fair. My only gripe was some text was too close to the binding, but overall, Mixbook's AI was a great help. It shows that AI can be a useful tool for preserving memories, without replacing human touch.
