Well, what a wild weather day on the East Coast! An unusual mix of heavy rain, freezing rain, melting snow, and powerful winds swept through, making travel tough and causing power outages. All thanks to a massive storm system that stretched from Florida to Maine. Experts blamed an ‘atmospheric river’, a tropical moisture highway, for the chaos. Alongside, a ‘bomb cyclone’—a rapidly intensifying storm—was brewing offshore. It all started calmly with a bit of fog and freezing rain, and then whoosh! Rain was pouring, snow was melting, trees were falling. It was a messy scene! Schools shut down, traffic got snarled, and ski resorts braced for the worst. Even thunderstorms and tornadoes were possible in areas further south. It’s just another day in New England, where the weather likes to keep everyone on their toes!
