Fairfield Schools Set Graduation Date, Review Safety Plans
Fairfield, CT, USASat Mar 21 2026
The Fairfield Board of Education will meet next Tuesday to decide the date for the 2026 graduation ceremonies at Ludlowe and Warde high schools. The proposal is to hold the events on June 16 at 6 p. m. , a change that will be voted on during the special session.
In addition to the graduation plan, the board will examine new security vestibule requirements for several elementary schools, including Burr, McKinley, Roger Sherman, and Stratfield. These updates aim to improve student safety as part of the district’s ongoing infrastructure improvements.
The meeting will also feature a discussion led by Selectperson Brenda Kupchick, who will cover topics related to facilities, finances and programs. This segment is designed to give parents and community members insight into the district’s budget priorities and future projects.
The full agenda will be available online, and the session is scheduled to begin at 7 p. m. in the board room located at 501 Kings Highway East. Viewers can watch the live stream on the FairTV Education channel via YouTube, ensuring that residents who cannot attend in person can still stay informed.
While the meeting is set for Tuesday, no official packet has yet been released. Residents are encouraged to review the agenda ahead of time and submit any questions or comments through the town’s website.
