Fantasy Football Week 16: Hits, Misses, and Hidden Gems
USAFri Dec 20 2024
Welcome to Week 16 of fantasy football! Let's dive into who's hot, who's not, and who could surprise you. At quarterback, Baker Mayfield is on fire, with seven games of three or more touchdowns. He faces a Dallas Cowboys defense that's allowed an average of 19. 8 fantasy points to QBs this season. Matt Stafford, despite a bad Week 15, is still averaging 18 fantasy points since Week 8. He's a great sleeper pick against the New York Jets, who've been generous to opposing passers lately. On the ice side, Jared Goff struggles on the road, averaging just 8. 9 fantasy points in four career starts in Chicago.
Running back Jonathan Taylor had a tough Week 15, but he's due for a bounce-back against the Tennessee Titans, who've given up the most TDs to RBs. If you're in a pinch, consider Jerome Ford, who's getting more touches with Nick Chubb out. However, Najee Harris has been inconsistent, and the Baltimore Ravens are tough against the run.
For wide receivers, Malik Nabers is a must-start against the Atlanta Falcons, who've allowed the most receiving TDs this season. Jalen McMillan could surprise with a big game against the Dallas Cowboys. But watch out for DeVonta Smith, who faces a tough Washington Commanders defense.
Tight end Trey McBride is having a great season but still hasn't scored a TD. He could break that streak against the Carolina Panthers. Brenton Strange is a sneaky start with Evan Engram out. But Tucker Kraft has been inconsistent, and the New Orleans Saints have been stingy against TEs.
So, set your lineups wisely, and good luck in Week 16!
