Farm to Tech: My Journey to Innovate

China-USA, China USAWed Dec 18 2024
Growing up on a farm in rural China, one person never imagined they'd enter the tech world. Life was simple but tough. There were two ways out of the village: study hard and gain entry to university, or stay and follow the family farming tradition. This choice drove an unyielding work ethic and curiosity. They moved on to study engineering, eventually earning spots at top universities. College life offered a window into the power of tech. Then came the big leap - moving to the U. S. and diving into tech startup culture. Experiences in various states, each with its own lessons about leadership and team dynamics, shaped their approach. At Google, they led a game-changing project and learned the value of bold visions and resilience. Some projects failed, offering insights into timing and focus. This journey led to co-founding Leap. ai and then Earnin, where they saw the need to rethink traditional finance. Today, they're working on blockchain tech to create fairer systems, driven by the belief that tech can build a better future for all.
