UVU is big, public, and mostly serves undergrads. RMU is small, private, and focuses only on graduate studies. But both share a goal: preparing more healthcare workers for Utah’s growing needs. Here’s how it works: UVU students who meet the grade requirements can apply early to RMU’s physical therapy program. If accepted, their first year of graduate courses at RMU also counts toward their UVU bachelor’s degree. This saves students a whole year of study and gets them working sooner in clinics or hospitals.Rural areas in Utah face a serious shortage of physical therapists.
