General Services Administration(“GSA”) employee records were basically being used without permission. Is that possible? An IBM employee got a peculiar request to share on GSA's 14, 000 employees. The request to obtain human resources records for all employees of the GSA was odd. The GSA wasn't thinking of this. GSA already had full access to the data, but the request got everyone asking questions. A lot of it was hush-hush. A team of Elon Musk and Donald Trump were quietly working on big changes for the federal government. Resources were studied, which was less than ideal for the GSA. Democrats criticized the Elon Musk team and the Department of Government Efficiency for being too secretive. The government officials were not prepared to give their names, the criteria for firing certain government workers, or the reason for cutting programs. Agency for International Development, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the U. S. Treasury. GSA is expecting a significant reduction in workforce. They sent out an email to all staff members about a "reduced workforce. " The Elon Musk team that set up a Software Modernization Initiative outside pressures, people did not know about it. It involved several agencies across the country. Federal employees were left in the dark about DOGE’s plans. No one knew who was leading the DOGE team. Nobody at the Pentagon knew who the DOGE team was. Elon Musk’s DOGE credited themselves for cutting costs, like canceling leases, millions were saved. The goal was to save money in certain departments that saved money. A person from the American Federation of Government Employees who represented the workers said that Musk’s team might not have accessed sensitive data. This trust did not exist.
