Ferrari’s luxury electric car for families

Ferrari is making a bold move with its new electric car, the Luce, designed for wealthy buyers who want top-tier technology and space. Priced at €550, 000, this high-end EV won’t hit roads until late 2026. Unlike Ferrari’s usual loud and powerful gas engines, the Luce keeps the brand’s signature driving feel by amplifying electric motor sounds. It has enough room for families, a huge trunk, and four electric motors—one for each wheel—that pack over 1, 000 horsepower.
The car’s sleek look breaks from Ferrari’s muscle-car past. Instead of bold red paint, it comes in softer colors with giant glass panels. Ferrari sees this as a way to attract younger buyers who grew up with AI and tech but don’t care as much about old-school engines. The company also wants to sell more in China, where electric cars are popular and gas-guzzlers face heavy taxes.
Early reactions from the launch were positive. Ferrari’s leaders called it "absolutely stunning" and said it meets a demand for versatile luxury cars. But the big question is: will hardcore Ferrari fans accept a quiet, high-tech electric car, or is this just marketing for a new generation?
