Fight Night Fever: UFC 324 Brings Big Matches and Bigger Questions
Las Vegas, USAFri Nov 28 2025
UFC 324 is shaping up to be a blockbuster event, with some major fights announced. The UFC has teamed up with Paramount, and they're starting things off with a bang. Two big title fights are headlining the event: Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett for the interim lightweight title, and Kayla Harrison vs. Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight title. This event is the first of 13 big fights planned for 2026 under the new partnership.
Gaethje is a former interim champion and has been waiting for his shot at the title. He recently beat Rafael Fiziev in a Fight of the Night performance. Pimblett, on the other hand, has been on a roll, winning his last six fights in the UFC, including a win over Michael Chandler. The winner of this fight will likely face Ilia Topuria later in the year.
Harrison is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and PFL champion. She recently submitted Julianna Peña to win the title and has been calling out Nunes ever since. Nunes, a former champion and considered by many to be the greatest of all time, retired in 2023 but is now making a comeback to try and reclaim her throne.
Other notable fights include a matchup between former champions Sean O'Malley and Song Yadong. O'Malley is coming off back-to-back losses to current champion Merab Dvalishvili. Song recently won a controversial technical decision over Henry Cejudo. There's also a fight between former champions Alexa Grasso and Rose Namajunas, as well as a bout between Deiveson Figueiredo and Umar Nurmagomedov.
This event is sure to be a big one, with plenty of action and drama. It's a great opportunity for fighters to make a name for themselves and for fans to see some of the best in the business go head-to-head. But will these fights live up to the hype? Only time will tell.
