Fitness Influencer's Threats Land Him in Hot Water
Austin, USAThu Jun 26 2025
Brian Johnson, who goes by the name "Liver King" online, found himself in trouble after making some serious threats. He posted a video on Instagram challenging Joe Rogan, a well-known podcast host, to a fight. Johnson, who is known for his muscular build and unusual diet, claimed he was ready to fight Rogan "man to man, " despite having no martial arts training.
The Austin Police Department took notice of Johnson's posts. They saw that he was heading to Austin and continued to make threatening statements. After contacting Rogan, who had never interacted with Johnson before, the police obtained an arrest warrant. Johnson was taken into custody at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin.
A video on Johnson's Instagram shows the moments leading up to his arrest. He is seen pacing around, talking about his upcoming prison time and a potential fight with Rogan. An officer is seen patting him down before he is handcuffed and taken to a police car.
Johnson is no stranger to controversy. In December 2022, he admitted to lying about his steroid use, which caused a significant backlash. He had built his brand around an "ancestral lifestyle, " claiming his muscles came from following specific tenets and eating raw meat. However, medical experts have long criticized his practices, warning about the dangers of extreme body image issues and steroid use. They have also spoken out against his promotion of raw meat consumption, citing serious risks of bacterial infection.
Johnson's confession about steroid use has been viewed over 4 million times, leading to legal troubles and growing criticism from former followers. His arrest marks another dramatic turn in his public life.
