Football Spotlight: Bills and Jets Players Stand Out in Monday Night Showdown
Buffalo, USATue Oct 15 2024
Monday Night Football showcased some impressive performances from both the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills. For the first time, Jets rookies Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson achieved over 100 rushing and receiving yards, respectively. This dynamic duo is definitely one to watch in the coming weeks.
On the Bills side, rookie running back Ray Davis stepped up big time in the absence of James Cook. Davis proved to be a versatile player, excelling in both rushing and receiving. He ran the ball 20 times for 97 yards and caught three passes for 55 yards, almost scoring twice. This breakout performance makes Davis a promising addition to any fantasy team, especially if Cook remains sidelined.
Khalil Shakir, on the other hand, had a quieter return after missing a game due to injury. He played less than half of the usual snaps and was questionable going into the game. His limited performance could be attributed to his recent injury, and fantasy players might want to monitor his practice status before deciding to start him in Week 7.
For the Jets, tight end Tyler Conklin was limited due to a hip injury. His playing time was reduced, and there's concern about his consistency. Conklin has had some strong games but also some weak ones, making him a risky choice for fantasy lineups.
Both teams continued their usual tight end rotations, with the Bills' Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox seeing significant playing time. The Jets also didn't rotate their running backs as much as in previous weeks, mainly because they weren't winning often.
