Fortnite Players Get Big Money Back
USAFri Jun 27 2025
Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, is in hot water. They've been accused of tricking players into buying stuff they didn't want. Now, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is stepping in to help.
The FTC has already given out over $72 million to players who were charged unfairly. But they're not done yet. They're sending out another round of refunds. This time, it's over $126 million. That's a lot of money!
The FTC is sending out checks and PayPal payments to players who filed a claim. They've already sent out 629, 344 payments. Now, they're sending out even more. If you're a player or a parent of a player, you might be getting some money back.
But you have to act fast. The FTC is giving players until July 9, 2025, to file a claim. If you don't, you might miss out on your refund.
Epic Games hasn't said much about this. They just pointed to a blog post they made in December 2022. But the FTC is making sure players get their money back. So, if you've been charged unfairly, make sure to file a claim.
This is a big deal. It shows that companies can't just trick players into buying stuff. The FTC is making sure they play fair. So, if you're a Fortnite player, keep an eye out for that refund. You might be getting some money back!
