Freedom at Last: Three Men from Gaza's Captivity
Sat Feb 01 2025
Three men are awaited in Israel, recently freed from their rough time in Gaza.
Imagine being in a terrible situation and two of these men are parents. Keith Siegel, who is both an Israeli and American citizen, was surprisingly positive, thinking of ways he could make the days pass.
While in captivity Siegal would motivate (not just reference to Keith Siegel) himself and show hope.
He would have discussions about being thankful. Imagine a situation like that. It is a sort of crazy they ask for you to find yourself.
This idea is something a lot of people like Oprah talk about. Keith is a survivor
one of those people that holds the hope for everyone.
Keith Siegel and his wife Aviva, an Israel-American couple, were taken from their home on kibbutz Kfar Aza. Aviva was freed back in November 2023, as part of a temporary ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Families were in turmoil but the peace talks were also a comeback for some.
Over on kibbutz Nir Oz, the FBI is reported to say, Shiri Bibas and her little boy Kfir, were unfortunately no longer alive.
Kfir was a smiley baby boy with red hair, holding a pink elephant toy at 9 month old.
Waking up to this news was rough.
Israel has not confirmed the deaths. The family is devasted and still waiting for official news before they can show their public gratitude.
And that's probably to have a face in the right place when doing it. There are many reports pointing their figures to there being alive or dead.
Families huddled in the hopes of knowing what was to happen. People across Israel and the world were hoping for their loved ones.
Ofer Kalderon, an Israeli and French citizen, was taken with his kids around the same time as the Bibas family.
Aged 52 at the time, he was staying with his son, 11-year-old Erez and 16-year-old daughter, Sahar.
Friends and family shared how Kalderon was a hobbyist cyclist, carpenter and singer, loving music and trips with his family.
When a strike was ordered on the 7th of October, there was little time and all the Bibas family could do was stay and hope.
