In a surprising twist, Lady Gaga is set to make an appearance in the second season of Netflix's Wednesday. Fans of the show might recognize Gaga's hit song "Bloody Mary" from her Born This Way album, which recently gained popularity thanks to a viral video featuring Jenna Ortega dancing. As of now, details about Gaga's role in the series remain hush-hush. The filming for Wednesday Season 2 kicked off in late April 2024 in Ireland. Earlier in August, while promoting Beetlejuice, Ortega spilled the beans that four episodes had already been filmed.
Gaga's involvement in Wednesday is her latest acting gig following her stint as Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips' Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux. The multi-talented singer has also starred in movies like House of Gucci and A Star Is Born. At Netflix's Tudum event in 2023, the cast hinted at the inclusion of more Addams family members in the new season. Ortega expressed her wish to see Cousin Itt, and Joanna Lumley was later revealed to play Grandmama Addams.
The cast for Wednesday Season 2 includes Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sheriff Deputy Ritchie Santiago. New additions to the cast include Billie Piper as Capri, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, and other new faces.
