You know how sometimes plans change because of the weather? That's exactly what happened with the NBA game between the Houston Rockets and the Atlanta Hawks. The game was supposed to happen on Saturday, but a winter storm in Atlanta made the roads too icy and unsafe. The NBA decided to postpone the game to keep everyone—players, fans, and staff—safe. They didn't say when the game will be rescheduled yet. The Rockets' team plane landed in Atlanta before the postponement was announced.
The storm brought lots of snow and ice to Atlanta on Friday. It was so bad that the roads were expected to freeze again on Saturday night. This also caused power outages for more than 110, 000 customers in the Atlanta area because trees fell on power lines.
In other news, a Delta Air Lines plane had to abort its takeoff on Friday. Four passengers got hurt, but it's not clear if the problem was because of the weather. The plane had 201 passengers, two pilots, and five flight attendants. They all got off the plane using inflatable slides and were taken back to the concourse by bus. One passenger went to the hospital, and three were treated at the airport for minor injuries.
