Gang Threats in Colorado: A Community on Edge
Aurora, Colorado, USA,Wed Jun 18 2025
In Colorado, a group of nine people linked to the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang caused fear in an Aurora apartment complex. This happened just a year after the gang started taking over properties in the state, leading to a rise in violent crimes.
The incident was captured on a doorbell camera. The footage showed the group, armed with guns, knocking on an apartment door on Potomac Street. The police chief, Todd Chamberlain, shared this video during a news conference. The group stayed at the complex for about a minute before leaving. Chamberlain made it clear that this was a gang-related incident, similar to past events in the city.
Two of the gang members, Larry Galbreath and Jordan Green, were arrested. The police are still looking for the others, who are believed to be from Venezuela. Galbreath was found with a gun that matched one seen in the video. He lived in the same building that the gang targeted.
Aurora, a quiet town east of Denver, has become a hotspot for this violent gang. The gang has been causing trouble, especially in apartment complexes. Chamberlain compared the gang to a dangerous cancer that needs to be removed. He assured the community that the police are proactive in dealing with this issue.
The police have responded to many calls related to this apartment complex since August 2024. These incidents include threats, gunshots, and squatting. The police are working with state and federal partners to catch the remaining suspects. The community is also encouraged to report any suspected gang activity.
The police chief emphasized that Aurora is not controlled by gang members. He promised that the police will not stop until everyone in the community is safe. Tips related to the case can be sent to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
