Israel is not happy with the latest U. S. plan for Gaza. The issue? The people chosen to lead it. The Israeli government says the U. S. did not talk to them before making this decision. They think the plan goes against what Israel wants.
One big problem for Israel is Turkey's involvement. Turkey's foreign minister is part of the new board. Israel has always said no to Turkey having any role in Gaza. But the U. S. included him anyway.
The board has other members too. There's a U. N. official, a rich businessman from Cyprus, and a minister from the United Arab Emirates. Israel and the UAE became friends in 2020, so that part is okay with Israel.
The U. S. also said they are starting the next step of Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza. This step involves setting up a temporary government there. The board, called the "Board of Peace, " will be in charge. Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and others will lead it.
Israel's foreign minister plans to talk to the U. S. secretary of state about this. But Israel hasn't said exactly what they disagree with. They just say the plan is not what they want.
This situation shows how tricky it is to make decisions about Gaza. Different countries want different things. And sometimes, those wants don't match up. It's a reminder that solving conflicts is never easy.
