Get Ready for Another Scorcher, Bay Area!

Bay Area, USAWed Oct 02 2024
The Bay Area is about to get a lot hotter again. A heat wave is on its way, starting from Monday. This isn't the first time this year, and it looks like temperatures will stay high throughout the week. Some places might even hit 100 degrees! Coastal areas won’t be as hot, but they'll still feel the heat with mid-80s expected. Alameda County’s Livermore and Pleasanton are looking at temperatures around 95 to 96 degrees. Over in Contra Costa County, Concord will peak at 96, and Walnut Creek will be close with a high of 95. San Jose and Morgan Hill might also hit the mid-90s. The good news? There won’t be any strong winds to make it worse. That means we won't get stuck in this heat wave for weeks on end. A meteorologist said, "We’re not seeing any offshore winds developing, so that’s a plus. "
