Glastonbury Saturday: Sun, Stars, and Surprises
UKSun Jun 29 2025
The sun was relentless on Saturday at Glastonbury, pushing the limits for many attendees. By late afternoon, the heat was too much for some, forcing them to seek shade or rest. Early in the day, magician Steven Frayne, known to many as Dynamo, took the stage at a Guardian Live event. He wowed the crowd with tricks and shared stories with Zoe Williams, creating a lively atmosphere.
As the day progressed, excitement grew for Kneecap's controversial set at West Holts. The stage was packed, and the energy was electric. The crowd was so massive that the venue had to close its doors 45 minutes before the performance even started. Meanwhile, Pulp, listed mysteriously as Patchwork on the Pyramid stage, delivered a set that left the audience in high spirits. Jarvis Cocker was in top form, and the band even had a special guest appearance from the Red Arrows.
Billy Bragg took center stage at his own Left Field stage, bringing his unique blend of music and activism to the festival. Later, Raye took the Pyramid stage, putting on a show that was described as a grand Vegas spectacle. Her performance was backed by a big band, complete with her name in Edison bulbs.
Over at the Other stage, Charli xcx kept the Brat summer vibe alive with her energetic performance. Fans showed their support with bold fashion choices. Meanwhile, US rapper Doechii took the West Holts stage, delivering a theatrical performance that left the crowd in awe.
As the night went on, the party continued at Levels, where Skream and Benga kept the beats going. Nearby, San Remo drew a crowd, ensuring that the festival spirit remained strong until the early hours.
