Global Stroke Burden: A Younger Population's Growing Concern

Ischemic stroke is a growing concern worldwide, especially among young and middle-aged adults. Between 1990 and 2021, the global disease burden of ischemic stroke increased, with a significant number of cases and deaths reported. In 2021, there were 16,301,644 prevalent ischemic stroke cases and 1,324,743 incident cases worldwide.
