Google Opinion Rewards Goes Dark: What's the Big Deal?
Wed Jan 08 2025
Have you ever wished you could use your Google Opinion Rewards app in the dark without straining your eyes? Well, your wish has come true! Google has finally rolled out a dark theme for its Opinion Rewards app. This server-side update doesn't come with many bells and whistles, but it does give you the choice between light, dark, or system default themes.
Back in September, some code hints suggested that a dark theme was on its way. Three months later, Google has delivered. The new theme option can be found in the app's settings. Just click on the hamburger menu, go to Settings, and you'll see a new option called Theme. Tap on it, and choose your preferred theme. It's that simple!
But why is this a big deal? Well, dark themes can reduce eye strain, especially in low-light conditions. Plus, the system default option means your app can automatically switch themes based on the time of day. Pretty neat, right?
If you haven't tried out Google Opinion Rewards yet, this might be the perfect time. The app lets you earn money by filling out quick surveys, which you can then spend on the Play Store. So, why not give it a shot and enjoy the new dark theme while you're at it?
