Gemini Comes to Wear OS
Google is bringing Gemini to Wear OS watches, allowing you to chat with an AI assistant directly from your wrist. This feature is rolling out to watches from Pixel, Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, and Xiaomi running Wear OS 4 or later.
How to start a conversation with Gemini:
- Say "Hey, Google"
- Press and hold the side button
- Tap the Gemini app icon
What can Gemini do?
- Answer questions like cooking times or weather forecasts
- Manage tasks across different apps
- Summarize emails
- Add events to your calendar
- Remember important details (e.g., where you parked)
- Set reminders
Enhanced Circle to Search
Google is improving Circle to Search, a feature that lets you search for information by circling, highlighting, or tapping on something you see on your screen. With AI Mode, you can now:
- Get more detailed answers
- Ask follow-up questions without switching apps
- Explore complex topics directly from your search results
AI Mode in Google Lens
AI Mode is now available in Google Lens, part of the Google app on both Android and iOS. This means you can:
- Get more information about what you're seeing (e.g., games, movies)
- Use Circle to Search to identify characters or find gaming strategies
Improved AI Overviews
Google is making AI Overviews more helpful with:
- Better formatting
- More visuals for easier understanding
