Grand Theft Auto VI Pre‑Orders Start June 25 – New Cover Revealed
Fri Jun 19 2026
Rockstar Games has set a new date for fans to lock in their copies of Grand Theft Auto VI: the pre‑orders go live on June 25 across PlayStation, Xbox and a handful of retailers. The game will debut on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S; a PC launch is still unannounced.
The company has shared the first look at the cover art, which showcases the two main characters, Jason and Lucia, set against scenes from the city that will be called Vice City. The image is split into several panels, featuring a helicopter, a crocodile, a boat with flamingos and other figures that hint at the game’s diverse cast.
Pricing details remain under wraps. Fans can expect a standard edition that will likely sit between $70 and $80, consistent with other high‑end titles. No information about deluxe bundles or special editions has been released yet, so players will have to wait for further announcements.
Rockstar’s CEO, Take‑Two chief Strauss Zelnick, has emphasized that the game is built entirely by hand, without any generative AI. He highlighted that every building and street was crafted individually, underscoring the company’s commitment to traditional game design in an era where AI tools are becoming common.
Players who want a heads‑up when the pre‑orders open can add GTA VI to their wishlist on the respective platforms, ensuring they won’t miss the chance to secure a copy as soon as it becomes available.
