Graton Resort's big expansion and new hiring push in Sonoma County
Rohnert Park, USAThu Jun 25 2026
Sonoma County's economy is getting a boost from a major local business opening more doors. Graton Resort and Casino is expanding with a new $1 billion wing that includes dining spots like AYA restaurant, sports bar Playbook, and doughnut shop SoCo Dough Co. Around 300 new jobs are up for grabs just in the food and hospitality side. The resort isn't stopping there—it's also adding over 200 hotel rooms, a fresh swimming pool, and a massive 3, 500-seat theater for big shows.
The casino started hiring earlier this year and has already brought in over 500 people. They promise solid benefits like health insurance, help paying for college classes, and even money for legal paperwork if staff need help with citizenship applications. Workers can also earn small cash bonuses every few months and get yearly pay increases.
Local shops and hotels might see more customers too because of this growth. Rohnert Park officials say the casino's expansion helps the whole area by bringing in more cash to nearby businesses. Small hotels near the casino could fill up with visitors while people spend money eating out or shopping in town.
Job seekers can go to interviews at Tony’s of North Beach in Rohnert Park on three dates this summer—June 24, July 9, and July 21. The resort shows up between 9 a. m. and 2 p. m. on those days.
