"They flatter him, and he falls for it. " One of the book's passages mentioned that Trump sent Covid-19 test kits to Putin early in the pandemic. Harris criticized this action, recalling the scarcity of tests for American citizens during that time. "Think about it," she said. "He sends love letters to Kim Jong Un. Shouldn't the American people be his first priority? " Colbert, who has supported the Biden-Harris campaign, asked Harris if Trump really lost the 2020 election. Harris replied with a humorous remark, suggesting that losing jobs, manufacturing, and the election makes one a "loser. " Colbert agreed, and Harris laughed, attributing her cheeky response to the beer she was drinking.
