NBC News reported that Weinstein is receiving treatment for chronic myeloid leukemia while in Rikers Island prison. Weinstein’s representatives didn’t comment on the report, citing privacy concerns. Before this diagnosis, Weinstein underwent emergency heart surgery just a month ago. His reps said he was rushed to Bellevue Hospital from Rikers due to various medical issues. He's also been treated for COVID-19, pneumonia, diabetes, high blood pressure, and other conditions like spinal stenosis and fluid buildup in his heart and lungs.
