Hayden Springer: The Golf Pro with a Heart of Steel

Hayden Springer, a name that's been making waves in the golf world, was born and raised in Texas. Standing tall at 6'3" and weighing 215 lbs, he's a force to be reckoned with on the golf course. After turning pro in 2019, he's competed in various circuits, including the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Canada. His journey to the PGA Tour in 2024 is a testament to his skill and determination. Springer's golf journey began early. He showcased his talent in the Texas Junior Golf Tour, with eight top-3 finishes and four wins. His integrity and character were recognized with the Lord Byron Award. After high school, he joined Texas Tech University but transferred to Texas Christian University (TCU) for his junior year. At TCU, he led his team to multiple victories and was honored as a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar. His senior year was a breakthrough, with his first collegiate win at the Big 12 Championship. He finished with a career-best score of 8-under 202. His average score improved significantly, cementing his status as one of the top golf graduates from TCU. Turning professional, Springer quickly made his mark. He won twice on the PGA Tour Canada in 2023, securing the top spot in the Fortinet Cup standings. However, 2023 was also a year of personal tragedy. He and his wife, Emma, lost their daughter, Sage, to Trisomy 18. Despite the heartbreak, Springer founded a nonprofit, Extra To Love, supporting families with children diagnosed with Trisomy 18. Just a month after his loss, Springer earned his PGA Tour card. He's since competed in 49 events, making the cut in 28. With 10 top-10 finishes and earnings of over $2 million, he's proving his mettle on the tour. His resilience and strength, both on and off the course, make him a standout figure in the golf world.
