Health Facilities Under Attack in Iran

IranThu Mar 05 2026
The World Health Organization confirmed that 13 attacks have targeted health care sites in Iran, and one attack was reported in Lebanon. Four medical workers lost their lives, while 25 others were wounded. During a press briefing, the WHO director‑general said no blame was assigned. He noted that four ambulances were damaged and hospitals suffered only minor damage from nearby strikes. One hospital in Tehran had to be evacuated because of the attacks.
A letter from Iran’s ambassador mentioned that 10 facilities were hit by military strikes. The WHO also warned that its logistics hub in Dubai, which supplies medicine to many countries, is currently out of service due to transport restrictions in the region. These incidents highlight the growing danger for health workers and patients amid ongoing conflicts. International bodies urge all parties to protect medical sites and personnel.
