Combining the calm of meditation with the flexibility of yoga to help people with high blood pressure. That's exactly what researchers did at the Heartfulness Institute in Hyderabad. They created a special program called Integrated Approach of Heartfulness Meditation and Yoga Protocol, or IAHFNM & YP for short.
First, they checked if the program made sense. Forty experts reviewed it and found that all 23 parts of the program were essential. They gave it high scores for content validity, meaning the program covers important topics. It also passed the reliability test with a score of 0. 95, which is very high.
Next, they tested the program with hypertensive patients. The patients found it easy to follow and were happy to continue. This shows that the program is feasible, or doable, in real life.
The goal of this program is to help people with high blood pressure using a combination of meditation and yoga. It's a new approach that needs more testing, but so far, it looks promising.
