Heavy Metal Legends Unite for One Last Show
A massive music event is happening soon, bringing together some of the biggest names in heavy metal. Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are set to perform together for what might be the last time. This concert, called "Back to the Beginning," will take place on July 10 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. It's a big deal because it's the first time the original members of Black Sabbath—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—will perform together since 2005.
A Dream Lineup for Metal Fans
The event isn't just about Black Sabbath. Metallica, Guns 'N Roses, and Slayer are also on the bill, making it a dream lineup for metal fans. Other artists like Sammy Hagar, Billy Corgan, and Tom Morello will also be there, with Morello serving as the music director. The concert is more than just a show; it's a celebration of heavy metal's history and a chance to see some of the genre's pioneers one last time.
Ozzy's Determination Despite Health Challenges
Ozzy Osbourne has had a tough few years, dealing with health issues like Parkinson's disease and a tumor on his vertebrae. Despite these challenges, he's determined to give fans a memorable performance. There's even talk that he might perform seated on a throne, similar to what Axl Rose did during his shows.
Watch the Concert Online
Fans who can't make it to Birmingham can still watch the concert through a livestream. The stream will start at 10 a. m. ET/7 a. m. PT, with a two-hour delay from the in-arena start time. Tickets for the livestream cost $29.99, and there's also a bundle that includes a T-shirt for $64.98. Proceeds from the concert will go to charities like Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
An Impressive Lineup
The lineup for the event is impressive, featuring bands like Tool, Pantera, and Halestorm, along with solo performances from artists like Lzzy Hale and Zakk Wylde. It's a chance to see some of the biggest names in metal all in one place.
