Honor’s Slimmer, Cheaper Foldable Phone
ChinaFri Mar 13 2026
The newest fold‑up from Honor is making noise for a different reason than most phones: it’s thinner and cheaper.
It comes in at just 8. 75 mm when closed, a record for foldables, and it’s only 4 mm wide when opened.
The weight is modest at 219 g, so the phone feels light even with its large screen.
Inside, the device sports a 7. 95‑inch main display that refreshes at 120 Hz and can light up to 5, 000 nits.
The outer screen is 6. 52 inches, also at 120 Hz, and can reach a staggering 6, 000 nits.
Both panels are bright enough for outdoor use and offer smooth scrolling for games or videos.
Under the hood, a Snapdragon flagship powers the phone, and it has three rear cameras for photography.
Despite the slim body, a big battery is included, and it supports both wired and wireless charging.
What really pushes this phone into the spotlight is its price.
In China, it starts far below Samsung’s Galaxy W26, which begins at about $2, 470 for a 16‑GB model.
Honor is positioning the Magic V6 as an affordable alternative that still offers premium features.
The phone will first launch in China, with a global release expected later in 2026.
It may not reach the U. S. , but its presence signals a serious challenge to Samsung’s dominance in foldable phones.
The market is heating up, and consumers will now have a slimmer, cheaper option to consider.
