Houston's Unstoppable Road Show

Houston's basketball team is on a roll, and they just proved it again. They beat Baylor 77-55 on Saturday. This win was special because it set a new school record. They've now won 16 games in a row on the road. That's a big deal! Five players scored in double figures for Houston. Emanuel Sharp led the way with 17 points. Joseph Tugler had 12 points and 11 rebounds. That's two double-doubles in a row for him. Isiah Harwell also had 12 points. Freshmen Chris Cenac and Kingston Flemings added 11 and 10 points respectively. Houston hasn't lost a true road game since February 3, 2024. That's a streak of 16 games. It's the longest active run in the country. All of these wins are in the Big 12 conference. That's a league record.Baylor put up a fight, but Houston was too strong. Cameron Carr scored 18 points for Baylor. Tounde Yessoufou had 10. But it wasn't enough. Houston's defense was too tough. They forced 16 turnovers and scored 31 points off them. Houston had some cold shooting spells. They missed 10 shots in a row early in the game. Then they had another drought later in the first half. But they bounced back with a 23-3 run. That's how they took control of the game. Houston shot 39. 2% from the field. They had only five turnovers. They grabbed 23 offensive rebounds. Baylor got 33 fewer shots than Houston. That's a big difference.
