This gene can directly influence another gene, PagPHT1;5a, which is like a phosphorus chauffeur, driving the nutrient around the tree. When PagSND1-B1 is overexpressed, it changes how phosphorus is distributed, storing more of it in the stems. This helps the tree's woody parts grow better.
