The Journal of Religion and Health (JORH) has been linking spirituality and healthcare since 1961. To see how this connection has grown, we looked at the top 100 most cited papers from JORH. This data, from the Scopus database, can tell us a lot about who writes these papers, where they come from, and how they work together. Over 3, 300 papers have been published in JORH. The top 100 most cited ones have grown by 3. 14% each year. These papers are about 12. 8 years old on average and have been cited 88. 87 times each.
289 authors have written these popular papers. 11 of them did it alone, making 12 single-authored papers. Most papers, though, have an average of 3. 27 authors. Authors from 141 universities in 21 countries have worked together 16% of the time, showing moderate global teamwork. To see who's doing well, we looked at metrics like the number of papers, citations, and h-index. This also showed how topics have changed over time using unigram, bigram, and trigram methods. This study can show how JORH brings different fields together and where future research could go.
