ChinaSat Dec 28 2024
In today's global market, China is making big waves with its digital technologies. But how can traditional firms in China join the digital party? Researchers used the ability-motivation-opportunity (AMO) framework to find out. They looked into six key factors that guide these firms towards digital transformation. Using a method called fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), they explored how these factors combine to make a difference. Manufacturing companies in China were the focus of this study. The results? No single factor can ensure digital success. It's all about teamwork among multiple factors. There were four winning combinations, each showing different paths to high digital transformation. Some focused on motivation and opportunity, others on all factors, and some just on motivation. This study unveiled the complex interplay among factors that drive digital change. It offers valuable insights for businesses aiming to go digital.
