Hurricane Helene's Impact: Halloween Events Cancelled
Universal Orlando Resort, USAWed Oct 02 2024
Well, it looks like Hurricane Helene has put a damper on the Halloween spirit this year. On Thursday, September 26, Universal Orlando Resort had to cancel their spooky event, Halloween Horror Nights. They initially planned to keep things running as usual, but with the severe weather approaching, they decided it was best to close down.
Universal's water park, Volcano Bay, was already shut down for the day, and now Halloween Horror Nights has joined the list of cancellations. But don’t worry, if you had tickets for Thursday, you can still use them on any other night through September 29. For more info, just give Universal's Guest Contact Center a call at 800-711-0080.
Even though the main events are cancelled, both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure will stay open until their usual closing times of 5 p. m. and 8 p. m. , respectively. The outdoor areas might still be a bit rough due to the weather, so keep that in mind if you decide to visit.
This isn’t the first cancellation we've seen due to Hurricane Helene. Walt Disney World also had to call off their Thursday night party, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It’s all about safety first!
