India's MRPL, a government-owned oil refinery, is looking for new oil suppliers. They have a big refinery in Karnataka that processes 500, 000 barrels of oil every day. About 40% of the fuel they make is sent to other countries. MRPL is not buying oil from Russia right now. They say they follow all the rules and sanctions. They don't think this will affect their fuel exports. Even though they are not buying Russian oil, they are still making good money from selling fuel abroad.
Most of the oil MRPL uses comes from the Middle East. They also buy some oil from other markets and use oil found in India. Now, they are thinking about buying oil from Venezuela if the prices and shipping costs are good. To make more money, MRPL is selling fuel directly to customers instead of other refiners. They plan to open 500 fuel stations in the next three years and aim for 1, 000 stations in five years.
