Microsoft has launched new Copilot+ Surface devices for business. These aren't the same as the previous Surface devices because those had Arm-based Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, which didn't interest many it business users. These new Surface machines now have Intel Core Ultra inside.
Think about the switch from Arm to Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors. Some people might have been on the fence about the previous options, but now they're getting a second chance.
Surface Laptops and tablets are taking a new direction, and Microsoft has finally included Intel processors for full integration. Business were hesitant at first. Businesses, however, want x86 processors in their new Surface Laptops and tablets.
These new Surface tablets and Laptops are for businesses , not consumers. There are some features that businesses need, but personal users dont.
In terms of sizes, the new copilot+ Surface devices mirror the previous ones. They come in either 13. 8-inch or 15-inch displays. The kicker? These displays are anti-reflective.
The 15-inch models have an optional smart card reader for an extra cost, which can help improve security for businesses.
The entry-level 13. 8-inch model comes with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of NVMe storage for over a thousand dollars with more going towards the battery life.
The top-tier configuration has an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
In the new Surface Pro devices are a ton of nice features. Unlike the Surface Laptop, With the Surface Pro 11th Edition for Business, you will get twice the battery life for calls on Teams.
Microsoft also announced the Surface USB4 dock. It supports high-speed charging of up to 65W and supports dual 4K displays via HDMI and various other ports include USB-A and USB-C, but only two of each. It offers Ethernet as well. You can get all of this for $200.
These new Surface devices also include a copilot+ program that can be used in more than one way. Admins can use natural language and AI to fix devices and others security needs.
Microsoft makes sure that the entire franchais the devices are secure and reliable that is why hardware security keys, like the YubiKey 5C NFC, are supported. If you ever needed to log in to your device without a password, this is the way to do it. My students have been very happy with that. Medical settings also have great use for this new feature.
However, some features like being able to summarize and analyze handwritten notes will require a subscription to Microsoft 365 Copilot. Make sure to get a subscription!
If you need a new Surface laptop or tablettry a Surface device with an Intel processor. You will enjoy the same features with an updated processor.
