After a rough year, Intel hopes to bounce back with a new line of processors announced at CES 2025. These chips range from the lightweight Core 3 to the powerful Core Ultra 200H. Intel promises better heat management and AI performance, but they've made big promises before. Let's see if they deliver.
The new lineup includes the Core Ultra 200V, which comes with Intel's vPro security features. The Core Ultra 200HX is designed for gaming laptops, while the Core Ultra 200H is for slim devices. Each chip can have different power levels and core types, like P-cores for performance and E-cores for efficiency.
Some chips, like the Core Ultra 200V, have Intel's Arc graphics and an AI accelerator. Others come with Intel's neural processing unit (NPU) for AI tasks. The Core Ultra 200V even supports Microsoft's Pluton security processor.
Intel claims big performance gains, like the Core Ultra 285 being 2. 9 times faster in graphics than its predecessor. But remember, Intel has faced overheating issues in the past. Will these new chips live up to the hype?
