Intel's New XeSS2 Tech Files Leak: What to Expect
Tue Dec 10 2024
Have you heard about Intel's upcoming XeSS2 technology? It's a big deal in the world of gaming! Recently, some important files related to this tech were found online. These files hint at what Intel has been working on with their new Battlemage "Xe2" discrete GPUs.
XeSS2 is Intel's answer to AMD's FSR 2 and NVIDIA's DLSS 3. It promises to be a strong alternative with frame generation and low-latency modes. These features aim to give gamers a smoother and more enjoyable experience.
A community called Nexus Mods shared DLL files for XeSS2. This shows that Intel is actively preparing for the official release. The files are compatible with Intel Arc GPUs, suggesting that XeSS2 will perform even better than the original XeSS.
In Ultra Performance mode, XeSS2 can boost performance by up to 3. 9 times in 1440p gaming with GPUs like the Intel Arc B580. That's a big jump! With Xe-LL and Xe-FG, gamers can expect noticeable improvements in their gaming experience.
Intel has announced support for ten games initially, but this is likely to expand. We don't have an exact release date yet, but it could be as early as the end of this quarter or by Q1 2025.
