Nick Shumaker from AC Independent explained how their focus on director-driven content has helped them make wise investments over the years. Marie-Christine Jaeger-Firmenich, a Swiss native, shared her journey into film production, inspired by a charity she worked with. She admitted knowing nothing about the industry at first but learned quickly after meeting director Nick Hamm. Shumaker and others on the panel talked about their goals for investing in movies. They all agreed that not losing money is key. Shumaker added that they usually aim for a 20-25% return on investment (ROI).
