Jade Cargill's Big Switch: From AEW to WWE

USAThu Nov 21 2024
Jade Cargill, a WWE star who started her pro wrestling career in 2020, has joined Paradigm's The Sports Group for representation. She's not alone; other notable wrestlers like Drew McIntyre, Liv Morgan, and CM Punk are also signed with Paradigm. Cargill's journey is quite remarkable. She began in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), quickly rising to fame by capturing the TBS Championship and holding it for an impressive 508 days. Her undefeated streak of 60 matches in AEW is also worth mentioning. In 2023, news spread like wildfire that Cargill was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Florida. A video of her arrival garnered over 20 million views. Soon after, WWE officially announced her signing. Cargill debuted in the ring during the January 2024 "Royal Rumble, " impressively eliminating stars like Nia Jax and Becky Lynch. She even had a highly talked about moment with Bianca Belair. Cargill's teamwork with Belair resulted in them capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in May 2024. Despite losing the titles briefly, they regained them at "Bash in Berlin" in August and have retained them since. Apart from wrestling, Cargill holds a master's degree in child psychology and worked as a child psychologist until 2019. She also enjoys fitness and has a large social media following. Alongside her husband, ex-Cincinnati Reds player Brandon Phillips, Cargill owns the Women’s Professional Fastpitch team Texas Smoke.
