Wed Dec 11 2024
Get ready for a new face in the Star Wars galaxy! Jeremy Allen White, known for his roles in 'The Bear' and 'Shameless', is set to voice Rotta the Hutt, the son of the notorious crime lord Jabba the Hutt, in the upcoming 'The Mandalorian & Grogu' movie. Rotta first made an appearance in the 2008 animated film 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'. This isn't White's first big role, as he's also set to play Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic.
The Mandalorian himself, played by Pedro Pascal, and his sidekick Grogu, aka Baby Yoda, will be back in action. Joining them is Sigourney Weaver. The movie is directed by Jon Favreau, who also co-wrote the script with Dave Filoni. It's the first Star Wars movie to hit theaters since 'The Rise of Skywalker' in 2019.
Fans are wondering if the huge audience from the Disney+ series will translate into box office success. Only time will tell! The movie is slated to release on May 22, 2026.
