Jeremy Allen White, known for his role in "The Bear, " is set to portray legendary musician Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic "Deliver Me From Nowhere. " The film, directed and written by Scott Cooper ("Crazy Heart, " "Hostiles"), is based on Warren Zanes' book, focusing on the creation of Springsteen's iconic 1982 album "Nebraska. " Filming is underway in New Jersey, New York, and Los Angeles, with a theatrical release planned for next year.
"Nebraska" is a significant album in Springsteen's career, recorded on a 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom without his band, The E Street Band. It's known for its raw and emotional content, inspiring many artists. The movie aims to capture the essence of this period in Springsteen's life.
Joining Allen White in the cast are Stephen Graham as Springsteen's father, Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, and Odessa Young, rumored to play a love interest. There are also talks of Jeremy Strong joining the cast as Jon Landau, Springsteen's longtime manager.
Cooper expressed his excitement about the project, stating that the album has deeply influenced his artistic vision.
