Katya Zamolodchikova, known from the hit series RuPaul’s Drag Race, has decided to delay an upcoming live podcast event. The decision comes after she underwent a medical procedure and is focusing on recovery. The event, part of Netflix’s “Is a Joke” festival in Los Angeles, was to feature Katya and fellow comedian Trixie Mattel recording their popular podcast “The Bald and the Beautiful. ” A special appearance by Dan Levy was also planned. On May 5, both performers posted the same Instagram story announcing that the May 9 show would be postponed. They thanked fans for their patience and assured tickets would remain valid until a new date is set.Earlier this month, Katya shared a photo from the hospital wearing a nasal cannula. She joked about being “in body jail” and later updated that she had been discharged, expressing gratitude for the support received. Currently, Katya and Trixie are touring with “The Bald and the Beautiful Live, ” offering audiences insightful chats, PowerPoint slides, and reflections on beauty and pop culture. Their next performances are scheduled for May 16 and 17 in Boston. Two years ago, Katya had to postpone shows again while she sought help for substance use. She highlighted the serious outcomes that can follow addiction, urging people to address their health early.
