KC Chiefs: Linebacker Drue Tranquill Praises Rookie Tight End Brock Bowers Ahead of Raiders Game

This Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs are facing off against the Las Vegas Raiders. While the Raiders aren't doing so hot this season, Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill isn't taking any chances. He's noticed that the Raiders have some skilled players, including solid tight ends and a quarterback situation that's been a bit uncertain. One standout rookie tight end, Brock Bowers, is catching Tranquill's eye. Bowers, drafted earlier this year, has been a real surprise. He leads the Raiders in targets, receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Tranquill thinks Bowers is the real deal. "He's got it all, " Tranquill said. "He can run any route, he's quick and makes big plays after the catch, and he can block too. He's a big asset for their offense. " The Chiefs' defense has had some trouble lately, letting in 30 and 27 points in their last two games. Tranquill thinks the team just needs to work better together. "We need to make sure we're all on the same page, " he explained. "There are a lot of things that happen post-snap in our coverages, so we have to be in sync. " Tranquill is also happy to have defensive end Charles Omenihu back on the field. He's staying positive and focused on the team's long-term goals. "We're working to get better every week, " he said. "Our goal is to play our best football in the playoffs. Every game is a step toward that. "
