Kids Explore Space and Shipwrecks During Spring Break at Two Museum Spots

Traverse City, Michigan, USAFri Mar 20 2026
The Great Lakes Children’s Museum is adding a second temporary location for the busy spring break season. From March 27 to April 4, visitors can go to a new space‑themed site in the Grand Traverse Mall. The setup lets kids build, experiment and ask questions about astronomy and other STEM topics in a hands‑on makerspace. The main museum, also inside the mall, opens its Shipwreck at Curiosity Bay exhibit. It shows Great Lakes maritime history with interactive activities that let families learn about local shipwreck stories.
A single $12 ticket covers entry to both places, so one price lets families experience the full range of programs. The museum says this is their busiest week, and adding a second spot lets more people join in the learning fun. Celebrating 25 years of hands‑on education, the museum offers camps, clubs and special events all year long. To learn more, visit greatlakeskids. org or call 231‑932‑4526.
