NetherlandsTue Oct 22 2024
In the world of dating shows, there's a new twist set to air in the Netherlands. RTL has decided to bring the popular LGBTQ+ dating format "I Kissed a Girl" to their streaming service, Videoland. Originally from the UK, this show was first known as "I Kissed a Boy, " focusing on gay men. Now, it will feature a group of single queer women in an exotic location, looking for their perfect match. The catch? Their first interaction is a kiss! The show, hosted by Dannii Minogue, has been a hit in the UK and has traveled to many countries, including Brazil, Denmark, and the US. This deal with Videoland is the first local version of the show. ITV Studios Netherlands will produce it. Laurens Woldberg, Managing Director at ITV Studios Netherlands, believes this show will boost LGBTQ+ representation on Dutch TV. He says it's a big step forward in showing the diversity of love and relationships. At MIPCOM, ITV Studios is looking for more deals on this show and others. They've already struck a deal for "The Perfect Picture" with Swedish pubcaster SVT, and "The Voice Kids" has been commissioned in 50 territories.
