Kojima's Next Big Move: A Return to Classic Action
Wed May 28 2025
Hideo Kojima has a packed schedule ahead. He is working on a horror game called OD, and a new action-espionage game called Physint. This new game is set to bring back the style of his famous Metal Gear Solid series. The idea for Physint came to him during a tough time. He got sick during the pandemic and realized many people wanted him to create something similar to Metal Gear Solid. So, he decided to make a new espionage game.
Kojima is known for his innovative ideas. He has plans for several games, but Physint is the one that stands out. It will be published by Sony, just like his Death Stranding games. However, there have been some delays. The ongoing voice actors strike has affected both Physint and OD. Even without this issue, Physint is still years away from release. It might even come out after the current gaming consoles are outdated.
Physint is set to be something special. Kojima plans to use advanced technology to blend a game and a movie into one experience. He has not shared any plot details yet, but the technology alone sounds impressive. As for Death Stranding, Kojima has no plans to make a third installment. He has an idea for a sequel, but he wants someone else to bring it to life.
Kojima is always thinking ahead. He has a USB drive full of ideas for future games. This is in case something happens to him. He wants to ensure his ideas live on, even if he can't see them through. This shows his dedication to his craft and his desire to leave a lasting legacy.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. It is set to release on June 26 on the PlayStation 5. This game will give players a taste of what Kojima has been working on. It is a chance to see his unique style and storytelling in action. It is a good reminder that, even with big plans, Kojima is still focused on delivering quality games. He is always pushing the boundaries of what is possible in gaming.
